Episode 98 – Apple Recap Far Out It’s Time To Stand

It’s a fully packed That Real Blind Tech show lair as the entire gang is here to discuss and recap in our own way the Apple Far Out event.

We start off discussing the name of the event and the new Apple emergency S.O.S. for when you are stuck in the middle of nowhere or Ohio. We discuss our issues getting the event to play in Apple TV, and the opening video to the event.

We then get our iOS 16 beta testers opinion of whether or not you should install iOS 16 on the September 12th release date.

We discuss Apple moving to eSim iPhones only in the United States.

Our watch coverage begins with us discussing an odd arrival time for those it’s time to stand notifications and then gets in to the always on display. The ladies then chime in about the new ovulation tracking coming to the new watches.

We get a little sidetracked with the innuendos, but hey that’s what you tune in for. After Giggles gets it all out, we discuss the new Watch SE2. It’s then on to the new Apple Watch Ultra, and one of us has already placed an order for it.

Next up we discuss the new Air Pod Pros with double the noise reduction. And on Apple announcement day, Bose attempted to steal some of Apple’s thunder by announcing their new Quiet comfort Two ear buds.

Apple announced four new iPhones starting out with the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus but these phones will be running last years chip. The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max will introduce the new dynamic island on the Lock Screen. We are quite curious how all of this will work with VoiceOver. Even though most blind peeps feel blah blah when Apple discusses the camera improvements. We discuss what the improvements mean for text scanning applications and Aira.

And finally we play some messages and emails we have received recently. We promise to get better at playing and reading your emails on future shows. You can call us at 929-367-1005 and tell us what you like, don’t like, agree with, or want to hear us talk about. Or email us in at ThatRealBlindTechShow@gmail.com. And as long as Brian gets his head out of his ass and remembers to put the emails and Voicemails in the outline, we will get to them.

And of course it’s more of What’s Pissing Off Brian Now and Watcha Streaming, Watcha Reading!
