Ed is currently the Adaptive Technology Specialist at Lighthouse Guild International, where he conducts training instruction for blind/visually impaired individuals seeking job retention, new employment, transition students for higher education or employment, and Lighthouse Guild’s Saturday program for ages 8 – 13. Before joining Lighthouse Guild, Ed was the Director of Vision Services at APEX Rehabilitation Services in New York City.
Aside from sharing his technical expertise with his clients, Ed has a strong belief in the social and physical development achieved through recreational therapy. He is a sports enthusiast and participates in such adaptive sports as baseball, tandem biking, outrigger canoeing, running, and skiing (downhill/water).
Prior to losing his eyesight, Ed was an active entrepreneur and started or acquired companies such as International Box Corporation, CP Enterprises, Inc. Eastern Microsystems, and QuesTec International with offices and strategic partnerships in New York, Florida, California, Massachusetts, Tokyo, Seoul, Singapore and Wiesbaden, Germany.
Ed is a graduate of Villanova University married with five children, and resides on Long Island, where he and his wife have lived for the past 40 years.
