Allison is a certified rehabilitation counselor who loves helping other blind people to achieve their employment and independent living goals. Since 2009, she has worked as a counselor, supervisor, and program administrator in three states. She believes that technology is the greatest equalizer we have as blind people, and constantly tries out new technology in order to share the pros and cons of various devices and software with others. At least that’s what she tells her husband when he asks, “You bought what?” She is a former guide dog user, and loves spoiling her husband’s guide dog when he is out of harness. Allison loves to read books and watch shows and movies across many genres.
